Peckham Pride

Peckham Pride are based in the London Borough of Southwark, towards the South East of the Capital.

The Pride were initially started by Head Coach and Founder, Sterling Muschett,  to provide basketball training for young people in Southwark – starting out with just 15 players at the first ever session.  However through Coach Muschett’s immeasurable passion for the game and commitment to teach fundamental basketball while helping develop character and responsibility to the next generation, Peckham Pride are now one of the largest clubs in London with over 150 members.

The club run sessions and teams for both boys and girls from 8 year olds through to 21 year olds at gyms throughout Southwark and have established themselves as one of the leading clubs in the city for developing young talent.  Since their inception, the club has been responsible for providing 2 London Youth Games Gold medals for the borough in the girls competition, in addition to Silver and Bronze for the boys.  The boys U15 are also the current National League Champions and are responsible for developing 3 current England Internationals.  The Pride have also won the London Community Basketball League in both the male and female divisions 3 times each.

Our players are expected to show discipline and respect both on and off the court and younger members are coached and inspired by more experienced members of our senior teams as we really believe in developing a family atmosphere at the Pride.” Our aspiration is for every player to reach their full potential on and off the court, and to become role models within the community demonstrating the highest levels of sportsmanship, integrity and dedication. We welcome new players to our teams and invite you to get in touch with us today to find out how you can get involved with the Pride.”[/box]
