The London Lions, in partnership with the London School of Basketball, are staging an International Basketball Camp at the Copper Box Arena, on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London this Easter!

The Lions are Londons biggest and most successful professional basketball team and compete at the highest level of domestic competition in the British Basketball League.  The Lions represent the ‘Pride Of London’ and featuring a potent mix of homegrown and American basketball stars such as:

  • Rod Brown – All-Star Guard from Dallas, Texas
  • Mike Martin – GB International, from London, England
  • Chez Marks – BBL Leading Scorer from Lexington, Kentucky
  • Julius Joseph – Commonwealth Games Medal Winner from London, England
  • Kramer ‘Special K’ Knutson – High-Flying ‘Big Man’, from Mercer, Arizona

The Lions also feature an international coaching staff consisting of:

  • Vince Macaulay – BBL Coach Of The Year, Championship Winning Head Coach & TV Personality
  • Mario Karol – European Professional Coach with over 500 games ‘Pro A’ Experience
  • Nigel Lloyd – British Basketball League Most Valuable Player, Barbados International
  • Junior Williams – England International, Head Coach London School of Basketball

For the first time ever, the Lions team of coaches and players are opening up their expertise to young Londoners in an exclusive 3 day camp to give players across the Capital an opportunity to learn from the best!

The London Lions International Camp is open to all players aged 9-18 years old, both boys and girls. All participants will receive 3 days of detailed training with Lions coaches, alongside senior coaches from the London School of Basketball and London Lions star players.  All players will receive an official London Lions training top, plus t-shirt and 2 tickets to a London Lions professional game at the Copper Box Arena!

In addition, the Most Improved/Hardest Working Player will win a FREE place at the London Lions Summer Camp and 2 free tickets to watch the Lions in the BBL Playoffs!  

The London camp is non-residential and will run between 9:30am-1:30pm each day, on the following days: 16th, 17th, 18th April.  Places are limited so you are advised to book online today and secure your place as once all the spots are gone, you will miss out on a rare opportunity to learn from London’s finest!

*All players will also receive 2 free tickets to watch the London Lions Men’s Professional team take on the Plymouth Raiders on the evening of Friday 18th April*

Cost of the camp is £60 in total, for all 3 days of tuition, official London Lions basketball top, t-shirt, 2 tickets to the London Lions pro game at the Copperbox Arena.
