CBL Week 7 Recap: U16s Roundup

The action was thick and fast down at the Copperbox Arena at the start of the new year as the CBL U16s action got back underway.

The impressive Barnet Bulldogs A Team ground out a narrow 4 point win against the London Pulse behind an MVP performance from Ukiel Ajongo, who finished the game with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 2 blocks.  The Bulldogs are a well-coached, disciplined outfit with a number of players who continue to impress and are sure to be a force to be reckoned with as the season progresses.

CBA Lions made the most of their ‘home venue’ in a convincing 41 point win against the Frenford Falcons.  Lions Kailum Nicholas was awarded the game MVP but was quick to mention his teammates defensive efforts as the keys to their victory.

In other games, Barnet Bulldogs B team beat UC Ducks 31-26, only for the Ducks to bounce back to beat Harrow Blackhawks 42-28. Edmonton County beat Sutton All-Stars while Brent Ballers eased out to a comfortable win against London United, 36-13.

In one of the highlight games of the day, Kennington Generals emerged victorious against the energetic Edmonton County Cavaliers. Game MVP went to the Generals Tunde Owolab:
