CBL Week 3: U14s & U25s

West London’s JFS played centre stage to the latest and greatest community basketball action across London in week 3 of the CBL.

The U25 division got underway with the Haringey 76ers taking on the favoured Leyton Goats in the U25 game of the day.  The Goats jumped out to an early and seemingly decisive 13 point lead in the first quarter, up 16-3, with the 76ers appearing shell-shocked against their more experienced competition.  However, inspired play by Isshiah Wilson-Graham soon had the 76ers back in the hunt, bringing the lead down to just 4 points going into the final quarter.  It was there Wilson-Graham took over and made his mark by scoring on 3 consecutive plays in a row – pushing Haringey into the lead and ultimately leading his team to the unexpected win.

In the best game from the U14 division, Brent Ballers edged out a close win against a highly competitive COLA squad, 39-35, with Ballers ‘do it all’ guard Fabio Mills proving to be the difference as he earned game MVP honours:
